Welcome to the English Brothers web site - one of the most established companies in East Anglia. In fact, our roots date back to 1847 when the company imported timber to the UK via the River Nene in the historic town of Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, and today we are based just outside the town.
Within this site you’ll find an overview of some of the products we sell to the trade and DIY enthusiast direct from our retail store. We supply everything from sheet materials to fencing and decking as well as garden furniture and log cabins – not forgetting gates, some of which are hand-made to the same designs they were over 100 years ago.
As far as timber sales is concerned, English Brothers is virtually unique. We have a comprehensive machine workshop, meaning we can cut timber to your own requirements. This saves the trade time on site, and the DIY enthusiast an awful lot of effort! Thanks to our treatment facility, we can also protect your timber using pressure treatment – ideal for timber exposed to the elements or even submersed.
